Abstract:

Millimeter wave antenna plays a major part in secure and high-speed transmission of data. The paper presents the antenna for wireless applications in frequency band of millimeter. The antenna which is proposed comprises two cylindrical shape dielectric resonators placed on the top of the substrate. The cylindrical dielectric resonator is made up of Alumina 99.5% lossy material that contains relative permittivity and tangent loss of 9.9 and 0.0001, respectively which are excited by the microstrip feedline method. The Rogers RT5SS0LZ lossy substrate that contains relative permittivity and tangent loss of 1.96 and 0.0019 respectively are used to develop and study the antenna using Electromagnetic Software Stimulation tool CST Microwave Studio Suite. The stimulated result provides the return loss that is minimum of -37.38dB and 10 GHz bandwidth at 37 GHz resonant frequency. The radiation pattern at two different plane and S parameter are also analysed for proposed antenna which is major parameter for 5G millimeter wave communication.
